- A special night featuring artists that Asian fans have been eagerly awaiting.
The Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA), the organizer of "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN," and the TOYOTA GROUP have collaborated on a project called "MUSIC WAY PROJECT," which will bring "matsuri," an overseas showcase project that promotes Japanese music culture to the world, to Asia for the first time. The performance, "matsuri '27: Japanese Music Experience BANGKOK," will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2027, at "UOB LIVE" in Bangkok, Thailand.
Following the great success of their inaugural performance in Los Angeles in March 2025(featuring Ado, Atarashii Gakko no Leaders, and YOASOBI), the stage is finally set to move to Asia for the first time. In Bangkok, Thailand, which will celebrate the historic milestone of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Thailand in 2027, a stellar lineup of artists who grace the music scenes of both countries will gather.
The performing artists include LiSA, who continues to take the world by storm with numerous anime theme songs; milet, a singer-songwriter who captivates fans both domestically and internationally with her global sensibility and expressive voice; and AiNA THE END, a leading alternative artist representing Japan with her unique expressive power, who is now attracting attention from around the world. In addition, SU-METAL, the main vocalist of BABYMETAL, and POTATO, an artist who enjoys immense popularity in Thailand, will appear as special guests.
"MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN" will further deepen its collaboration with major Thai music awards and develop music and cultural exchange between the two countries. Please look forward to this one-night-only special showcase that symbolizes the friendship between Japan and Thailand and the exchange of new music cultures through the universal language of "music."
