The Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA), a general incorporated association established by six major music industry organizations, and TOYOYA GROUP have launched the"MUSIC WAY PROJECT" as a co-creation project to support and promote the essential globalization and sustainable growth of the Japanese music industry. As part of this project, in order to actively export outstanding talent to the world, they have been regularly holding stimulating music production co-writing camps twice a year since 2025, inviting artists and music creators who will lead the future of the Japanese music industry.
The first installment of this project, "With you" (Rol3ert, Johnson), created at the "SONG BRIDGE 2025" camp held in Kyoto in June 2025, was released digitally on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. This song is the first collaboration between domestic and international artists for "SONG BRIDGE," with participation from Japan's Rol3ert and Malaysia's Johnson.
[About Rol3ert, Johnson's"With You"]
Rol3ert is a singer-songwriter born in the US in 2005and raised in Japan. She began her full-fledged solo career in 2025, and in 2026 won the "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN" Radio Special Award and was selected for Spotify's"RADAR: Early Noise 2026." Her music, which primarily features English lyrics and incorporates J-POP-derived melodies, has garnered her listeners both domestically and internationally.
Meanwhile, Malaysian singer-songwriter Johnson began singing in a choir at a young age and started writing his own songs at the age of 13. His music has now garnered over 6 million plays across various streaming services. His style, centered on rich harmonies and emotionally resonant expression, has earned him high praise both domestically and internationally as both an artist and songwriter.
As part of the CEIPA x TOYOTA GROUP "MUSIC WAY PROJECT," Rol3ert and Johnson, then 19 years old, participated in "SONG BRIDGE 2025," a large-scale co-writing camp held for the first time in Kyoto in May 2025.
The session held on-site brought together a star-studded lineup of creators. At the heart of it all was Kwon, a Korean-American producer who has collaborated with prominent artists such as Jay Park, ATEEZ, and XG. He was joined by Ryuji Yokoi, a rising Japanese music producer who has provided music for BABYMETAL and FRUITS ZIPPER and works across a wide range of genres. Through co-writing with this internationally diverse group of creators, the song "With you" was written.
The song expresses the duality of memories—both the guiding light and the binding chains—through the poignant lyrics, "Just waiting to wither before fully blooming," and the two singers' nuanced vocals. Despite the internal conflict, the urban sound smoothly propels the song forward, resulting in a truly exquisite track.

She sold out her solo show at Shibuya WWW X and has also performed live in South Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan. She will perform at both the Tokyo and Osaka shows of SUMMERSONIC 2026. On October 21, 2026, she will release her first full album, "meet me in my head."

She has opened for pH-1 and Fiji Blue at live shows, and as a songwriter, she has written songs for Hong Kong artists MIRROR and MC Cheung. "With you" was written in one day at a co-writing camp in Kyoto with Rol3ert, Kwon, and Ryuji Yokoi.
